Janet Travell, MD developed trigger point work and identified common areas of nerve impingement in muscle. Her work was critical to pain management in our country and has grown throughout the years.
Trigger Point massage is used to treat pain that is nagging and often chronic. We use assessment to locate nerves that are impinged by muscle or bone and referring pain to another area. Often the cause of pain is somewhere other than where you feel the pain. We gently release trigger points until your referral pain is no longer present. Results are often long-lasting.
