My Story
Laura Novak, LMT, RYT, CES, BS
My journey in the field of wellness began in 2006. After suffering from headaches and migraines throughout my life I found relief for my pain through massage therapy.
This changed the course of my life dramatically and I began my quest to learn massage therapy in order to help others diminish their physical pain and injuries. I love to focus on working with clients who are experiencing pain, my goal is to help people develop holistic pain management programs to reduce their pain and increase their quality of life!
I am a lifelong learner and sharing my knowledge of the body with others is my passion in life. I look forward to continuing to learn more effective ways to facilitate wellness and healing in the years to come. I am truly dedicated to helping you understand your body and facilitate your healing to promote a healthier and happier body. I look forward to working with you on your quest and am truly grateful for the abilities to do so.
What to expect during your session with me
In my sessions, I utilize a wide variety of assessment and hands-on massage techniques to help you source and work through the pain in your body. Depending on your needs, your sessions may include:
a comprehensive intake and discussion
assessment of your problem areas
therapeutic massage
recommendations for self-myofascial release
movement coaching
discussion of nutritional and environmental impacts on your symptoms
I have learned that after your pain begins to resolve from massage therapy there are lasting patterns and components that need attention. This fed my desire to learn more and begin to incorporate corrective exercise, movement coaching, and wellness coaching, and functional nutrition counseling into my practice.
Expect to participate in your session with me. We will remain in communication during your sessions to provide feedback and facilitate your unfurling process.
