My Story

Christina McIntosh, LMT

I enrolled in Massage school in the Spring of 2017. I had received only a few massages by then and I already knew the amazing benefits massage therapy can have not only the physical pain I was having but also in balancing my emotional wellbeing.

I was unsatisfied with my IT career, the long hours of desk sitting and experiencing chronic pain and tension patterns. Something needed to change for my own wellness, my family, and my life satisfaction. I was looking for a holistic approach and went to check out a local massage school.

I came away from that open house with a new appreciation for the interconnectedness of Body, Mind and Spirit and a new direction; a passion to help others on their wellness journey using therapeutic massage.

I offer therapeutic massage as a venue on a larger holistic approach to one's individual wellness journey.

Outside of massage, I enjoy spending time in nature, time with family.

What to expect during your session with me

In our sessions together you can expect me to partner with you to address your therapeutic goals.

Sessions start with a brief intake, with attentive listening to your concerns and goals. Your hands on session will be individualized to meet your needs.

I will utilize a variety of techniques and modalities and along with receiving tactile and your feedback to provide a therapeutic treatment with no or minimal discomfort or pain. Some of the techniques may include active muscle engagement, gentle stretching, assessing range of motion, blending Eastern and Western modalities within my scope of practice and knowledge.

Your feedback is valuable. I want to know from you when something isn't working for you. This allows me to adjust for your comfort and safety and treatment goal in mind whether you are looking to relax or address a pain issue.

You can expect, mutual respect, courtesy, professionalism throughout as we partner together to address your specific needs.
